Produced on the occasion of J.J. Schoonhoven’s exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, 2 February–1 April, 1973.

J.J. Schoonhoven (1914–1994) became known for his sculptural reliefs and works on paper. For almost forty years, Schoonhoven worked on the development of these reliefs from papier-mâché, paper and cardboard, in addition to his job as a civil servant at the PTT (the Dutch state-owned company responsible for post, telegraphy, telephony and radiotelephony.)
