Born in 1974 in Tbilisi, Tolia Astakhishvili works and lives between Berlin and Tbilisi. Her art practice includes sculpture, drawing, painting, sound, video and writing. Her architectural environments, which integrate these various media, are designed in conversation with the exhibition site. They evoke spaces in transformation, like a suspended construction site whose origins and completion remain undefined. Everyday objects, drawings, photographs, mural inscriptions and videos suggest a diffuse human presence. Together, they weave a fictional narrative marked by a psychological dimension, sometimes tinged with surrealism.

An artists’ book gathering photographic works by Yair Oelbaum, followed by a note by the artist on his process, from his experiments with a Macro 5 Polaroid camera—a camera originally intended for dental and crime scene photography—to his creation of images of “transient arrangements on an array of surfaces.”

Completed shortly before John Morgan’s death in September 2025, Baskerville’s Teardrop Explodes: A Selection of Books as Muses gathers 31 books that shaped his imagination. Chosen for their visual presence and associative charge, these volumes influenced his practice as a book designer in distinct ways. Together, they form a personal Library of Muses reflecting the contradictions and layered sensibilities of his work. Selections range from titles prized for colour, materiality, or attitude to those evoking memory, romance, anxiety, humour, or failure. Each Muse carries its own energy – heroic, imperfect, excessive, modest, resonant – guiding Morgan’s creative direction and vision.
