Produced on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Leo Castelli Gallery on February 1, 1987. Revolving around the writings of Rainer Maria Rilke’s “Das Studenbuch”. Leo Castelli had a German-language edition of Maria Rilke’s book with him when he emigrated from Fascist Italy in the 1930s.

Catalogue produced for Documenta 5, 30 June and 8 October 1972 in Kassel, Germany. The artistic director Harald Szeemann channeled many of the curatorial concepts for the exhibition into the design of the catalogue itself.

The point of departure for the exhibition is a series of documents that have rarely or never been shown before— letters, concepts, and photographs from the Archive Dorothee and Konrad Fischer which chronicle contacts between the internationally influential gallerist Konrad Fischer and Lucy R. Lippard, as well as women Conceptual artists from the late 1960s and early 1970s such as Eleanor Antin, Hanne Darboven, Agnes Denes, Adrian Piper, Lee Lozano, Charlotte Posenenske, and Alina Szapocznikow.

Poster produced on the occasion of Hanne Darboven’s exhibition Quartett ’88, at Portikus, Frankfurt, 17 March–16 April, 1990. The exhibition was dedicated to four outstanding women of the 20th century: Marie Curie, Rosa Luxemburg, Gertrude Stein, and Virginia Woolf. The significance of their work in the fields of science, politics/society, and art/literature in the context of historico-cultural events taking place at the same time is related to the present. The structure of the work is based on an aesthetic concept developed by Hanne Darboven in the past 20 years, consisting of writing down and writing out temporal sequences of events.

Produced on the occasion of Hanne Darboven: Enlightenment the first major retrospective after the artist’s death brings together key works from all phases of her prolific work. Collaboratively organised by and simultaneously presented at the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn and Haus der Kunst in Munich.

This major publication brings together key works from all phases of her prolific career spanning over fifty years. It highlights the outstanding and wide-ranging output of this key conceptual artist in its entire temporal and stylistic breadth, featuring works in which the artist focuses on political events, German history and her personal context and shows the extensive work series exploring themes from cultural history, music, literature, and (natural) science.
