Produced on the occasion of the exhibition J.J. Schoonhoven–Tekeningen at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, 20 November, 1971–9 January, 1972.

For almost forty years, Schoonhoven worked on the development of these reliefs from papier-mâché, paper and cardboard, in addition to his job as a civil servant at the PTT (the Dutch state-owned company responsible for post, telegraphy, telephony and radiotelephony.)
Designed by Wim Crouwel, Magda Tsfaty (Total Design).
